The Student Policies of Striking Art Studio are outlined here AND on the Safety Requirements page of this website. In the following paragraphs, the words Class(es) and Workshop(s) are used interchangably.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS / CLASSES / STUDIO TIME / CONSULT TIME /DESIGN SERVICES

For scheduled Workshops and Classes, open spaces are filled on a first paid & registered, first confirmed basis ~ The Classes page of this website contains a preview of the current quarter's class offerings. Click on a bolded preview to see the individual class page for details and pricing. PayPal and Register & Pay by Mail buttons are located on each class page for your convenience.
For Open Studio Sessions / Studio Rental / & Private Lessons-Consults ~ call for reservation then pay the first two hour minimum plus any additional time you have reserved You will be responsible for all supplies, materials, and firing fees not included in your session, as well as any additional time logged (by quarter hour). These costs are payable at the end of each day.
For Create a Class, you will need to pre-pay the posted web price and schedule it into my studio Calendar. The class will then be opened & advertised to gain additional students (max 4 students). It will run regardless of whether it fills, so you may get one on one time!
For Web Design services, you will need to pre-pay the First Four Hour Minimum of Web Design time. All design time thereafter will be pre-authorized and paid in advance by you, and will then be clocked in quarter hour increments. There is no charge for the Initial Interview to discuss your business needs. You will receive a Web Design Proposal by email, that you will need to reveiw, sign & date, and return by mail to me. Once the First Billable Meeting begins (by phone or one on one), the $120 design fee minimum is non-refundable.
NOTE: There is a *non-refundable processing fee already included in the posted web price of each studio offering. Studio Offering is defined as any entry on the Classes and/or Catalog pages of this website. The fees are as follows:
For Studio Offerings priced up to $150: $5 per class
For Studio Offerings priced $150 and above: $10 per class
*This processing fee will be returned to the student in the case where the Studio must cancel a class.
PAYMENT FORMS ACCEPTED: PayPal and Checks on Local Banks Only
PAYPAL: If you would like to pay by a credit card, please do so through PayPal using the Add to Cart buttons located on individual class pages. Paypal offeres safer and more secure payment options, and my Studio never sees your credit card or bank information. You do NOT need a PayPal account to use the service, and they accept e-checks and the major credit cards.
2) For Payment by Personal or Business Check cashable on Local Banks only:
I will accept your check ONLY IF there is a local branch of your
bank located in my area where I can go to cash it upon receipt.
Once your Registration and Payment are received by the Studio, they will be processed in the order received for that day. If you pay for a class but are subsequently not confirmed in it, your money will be refunded promptly or it can be held so that you can be placed on a wait list if you prefer. If you pay for a class and decide to cancel, you will be bound by the cancellation policy outlined below.
REFUNDS & CANCELATION INFO:
REFUNDS FOR STUDENT CANCELLATIONS:
You must email the studio to cancel your class.
If you cancel your slot at least 10 (ten) days prior to the start date of your class:
you will be issued a refund within two weeks of receiving your cancellation email less a $5 administrative fee per class (for classes priced under $150) OR a $10 administrative fee (for classes priced over $150).
If you cancel your class less than 10 days from the start date of your class:
you are NOT eligible for any refund unless the class fills and there is a student from the waiting list who can take your slot. If the class is full and a student from the wait list takes your place, I will be happy to issue you a refund (less the processing fee) once that student's payment has been processed.
REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES / ABSENCES
Striking Art will NOT extend any refunds to students who miss or don't show up for a class; however if there were extenuating circumstances due to a life emergency, credit towards a future class MAY be issued at the Studio's discretion. The same processing fees will apply as above.
Please contact me before the start of a class series if you know you will have to miss one of the class dates, to see what arrangements can be made ~ I do try to be flexible and accomodating!
REFUNDS FOR WEB DESIGN SERVICES:
Please refer to your Web Design Proposal that was or will be emailed to you ~ it will contain more detailed policy guidelines. Once the First Billable Meeting begins, the $120 design fee minimum is non-refundable.
RIGHT TO CANCEL
Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to cancel any class not meeting a minimum enrollment 7 days prior to its start date. Students will be contacted if this occurs, and either a full refund (including processing fee) will be issued OR a full credit (including processing fee) will be given towards a future class, according to the STUDENT'S preference.
Striking Art will NOT assume responsibility for ANY LOSSES INCURRED BY ANY STUDENT BEYOND the amount equal to the full class fee, should a class need to be canceled due to class minimums, instructor illness, or any unforseen situation on the part of the studio or other entities.
RIGHT OF REFUSAL
Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to refuse service and/or registration to any person, group, or organization inquiring about classes, workshops, events, donations, or consultations.
RIGHT TO TERMINATE
Striking Art Studio reserves the unconditional right to terminate a student's enrollment at any point due to the student's unreasonable conduct. A refund in this situations WILL NOT be given.
SAFETY REQUIRMENTS POLICY
Please review the Studio's policies on the Safety Requirements page from the tool bar above, along with the Studio Safety & Supply Info sheet that will be emailed to you with your Registration Confirmation -- you are responsible for adhering to the information in these documents!
